Disability Program Manager – Basics
Description:
The main objective of a Disability Program Manager is to help agency management meet its affirmative employment responsibilities to ensure employment opportunities for persons with disabilities. This course outlines the roles and responsibilities of the Disability Program Manager and identifies some of the challenges faced.

Participants are encouraged to arrive at 8:00 a.m.

For those who have been in the role of DPM for at least a year, come enhance your knowledge and sharpen your skills! Now that you have some experience in the position of DPM, we want to help you move ahead. Participants in this course will gain practical knowledge about building strategic alliances to achieve programmatic goals, and becoming a vital resource for employees, managers, and senior leaders within their agency. This course will include practical exercises, to address issues of facility accessibility, emergency evacuation, and complicated reasonable accommodation issues.

Participants are encouraged to arrive at 8:00 a.m. on the first day.

Prerequisite:
Participants are required to have at least one year of experience and the Disability Program Manager Basics course for this course.
